Over the last couple of weeks we have been running a survey asking you which you see as most important when you buy golf clubs: Brand, Price or Fit.
Well we can tell you the results were overwhelming in favour of Fit with 85% of you thinking this was most important. 15% of you thought that Price was most important and none of you thought that Brand was the most important criteria when buying golf clubs.
Congratulations to Cheryl Williams who was drawn out at random from those that entered and wins the dozen Wilson DX2 golf balls.
Congratulations to Pete Howland who was selected as our Game Improvement Champion. I look forward to working with him on his all-round game. Hopefully we can strengthen all aspects of his game and improve his scoring so watch this space! My thanks go out to all of you who volunteered for the position.
Pete's Custom Fitting
Pete wanted to change his irons as he'd never been fitted and having explained the benefits we got started. As you will see with on Pete's fitting sheet, he was using the wrong flex shafts and also had the wrong lie. Pete saw massive gains with his new Wilson D200 irons, the A Flex shafts help to square the club face. Squaring the club face and using the correct lie (two degree up) has reduced both side and back spin numbers, but the two important numbers are carry, which is up 13 yards and the dispersion, which is down 15 yards. Are you using the right ball?
Here at Denbigh Golf Club we are hosting a FREE ball fitting day on Saturday, 27 June. If you are intersted in getting fitted please click here to get in touch.
